Who should be responsible for Margot's treatment.
I think that the person who should be reponsible for Margot's treatment would be her teacher. Being the teacher of a class full of young children that were only 9 years old, she should pay particularly more attention to them. Being Margot's teacher, she should have known that Margot preferred to be alone and was not on a good replationship with other children. However, not only she did not do so, she missed Margot's inexistence in the class, causing Margot to be locked up in the locker without being discovered. How could she listened to the children that everyone is present. She should have known very well, that children loved to run around and may be lost, hence, she should have calculated the number of children in the class! As the children are still young, many times they could not differ right from wrong, hence when the parents of the children placed their trust on the teacher to ensure their children's safety, the teacher should have the responsibility to take good care of the children.
If I were one of the children.
If I were one of the children, I would probably not lock Margot in the locker. To me, I think it will really frighten any child to be locked up in a locker. However, when I was just 9 years old back then, I would probably not have to courage to oppose every others decision. Hence, I think I would release Margot secretly without informing the other children. If I haven't had the opportunity to do so, surely I will inform the techer then, but I will still request to be anomynous. If these all fails, I may still hesitate a little to release Margot openly. However, under the circumstances of the story,
the Sun came out! Anyone one should know that any children in Venus will yearn for the Sun so much! Hence, I will certainly release Margot at once. Margot had been the one yearning for Sun the most, and said that the Sun will come out. Hence, the rights should not be taken away from her. I don't one anyone to have this regret for the next 7 years, it is too cruel for someone, especially a children. I guess this would be a win-win situation.
