My favorite book is The Cardturner by Louis Sachar.
Louis Sachar has always been my favourite author all the while. Don't be mistaken by the title of the book, it is not about gambling, in fact, it includes a game called bridge. The author wrote the story in a humorous way, in which left me a deep impression. As though the story is very humorous, the ending was a simple and touching one, even though no strong expression of the main character was involved.
The story basically wrote about the game "bridge", with much explanation of the game. The way the author described how someone can be so devoted to the game had touched me. The author also uses simple words and phrases, however, bringing out deeper meanings. He also pays attention to some common incidents and puts inside his book. For examples, the use of double negatives, etc: "Have you not liked the food? No." This is a common thing that happened to us, however, only Louis pointed it out.
